What advice would you give to someone as they are being arrested? Suggestions on what to do or not do.?

I work as a Bail Bond Agent and have heard many interesting arrest stories. I'm convinced that most people do not know what to do or say when getting arrested. I'd like to hear some ideas from others about what they think they should or should not do, or say. What advice would you give to someone as they are being arrested? Suggestions on what to do or not do.?
As a police officer, the best advise for anybody being arrested, pulled over for speeding, stpped walking down the street, however you come into contact with law enforcement- Shut your mouth! Do not volunteer ANY info besides name date of birth etc, when an officer says ';Do you know how fast you were going?'; NEVER say ';yeah I was going a little fast wasn't I?';, say ';No officer, was I speeding?'; the way you answer a question can prove willfull violation of the law be it on a speeding ticket or a murder charge. You have a right to remain silent for a reason. What advice would you give to someone as they are being arrested? Suggestions on what to do or not do.?
Just relax, put their hands on their head, and make no fast moves. Don't raise your voice. Comply with everything the officer says and everything should go smooth.
YOu have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law, you have the right to an attorney, if you cannot afford one, one will be appointed to you.......
Don't you think it's a bit late to give them advice if they are already being arrested.

Only thing I can think of to say is ';You shouldn't have done whatever is getting you arrested';
do not do or say anything.....ask for an attorney.....just because you dont talk, doesnt make you uncooperative
Saying nothing is the best.
that was interesting thanks for asking
Don't give the person who's arresting you any attitude or try to struggle.

Don't fidget with the cuffs, as with some designs it makes them get tighter, and they don't always carry the keys with them to undo them to slacken them back off again.

Don't speak more than necessary if you don't want to drop yourself in it any further than you already have. In particular try to avoid using any colourful language, such as the F-word.
Cooperate with the police. Do exactly what they say. Do NOT say anything to them. ANYTHING! In the holding cell sit straight with your eyes forward as you are being videotaped.

DUI's are a horse of another color. Do exactly the same thing, but in some states different laws apply. We can refuse a breathalyser however you are going to lose your license anyway.

I am not sure if you have to do a field sobriety test, but I would refuse that as well. All they have then is that you smelled of alcohol, which is legal and whatever led them to stop you. Talk as little as possible. All arrest reports basically say the same thing, eyes glassy, stumbling, smelled of alcohol.....

Bottom line is don't help the police make their case! You are at a great disadvantage anyway as the cops know you have an automatic suspension and are going to have to shell out $4,000 for a lawyer.

And I would agree with the oerson above: you start when you are pulled over as they must have probable cause to stop you!
My Advice: Just be calm...Avoid struggling with the law-enforcement officers so that they wont harm you or you wont harm them.

What to do: Restrict your utterance to '; What is my offence, I want to see my lawyer';.
stay calm, dont talk back, or the possibility of disappearing and never being seen or heard from ever again becomes a reality, to the house of pain.
yip, awesome bill has got it right. no comment all the way.
