My feet get huge cracks in them? It is very painful. Any advice that could help me out?

I have had cracks in my feet for ages. Sometimes they are okay but usually they look awful. I try to wear shoes as often as I can. I find it helps a bit as compared to sandals. I have a foot file that helps a bit and a loofah thing to scrub the dead skin build up after a bath. Creams help a bit but the problem keeps coming back. Any advice would be wonderful. I would love to have healthy looking feet again. My feet get huge cracks in them? It is very painful. Any advice that could help me out?
You have to use a foot file and cream every day - especially after washing your feet.My feet get huge cracks in them? It is very painful. Any advice that could help me out?
It is always better to control cracked feet during early stages as it is easier to manage them then .But u can also try this tip.Remove the dead skin on your feet by using a footfile and then dip ur feet in warm water for about 10 minutes. After drying up apply warm mustard oil or any branded crack cream on the area. Continue this regularly for improvement.During winter follow the same procedure but cover your feet with socks.
There are several things that you could look into. First, this seems to sound like the symptoms of athlete's foot. There are many medications you can try for this condition. Also, if you really want healthy looking feet, you may need to invest in regular pedicures at a reputable nail salon. These are available for men and women. If you commit yourself, and your money, every 2-3 weeks over 3-6 mos, you should see amazing results.

Also, as your feet improve, make sure to keep them hydrated. Vaseline or lotion on your feet daily with the use of socks, clean socks, daily (open-toe shoes will only dry your feet out further) will dramatically improve the condition of your feet while you're doing regular pedicures and using the medications.

It's a long process, but if you stick with it, you will be amazed at the results.

Another note about open-toe shoes. When your feet are healthy, you can try open-toe shoes one or two days a week, with the use of ample lotion or vaseline, but don't try this everyday, because you will find your feet getting dry all over again.
Cover your feet in Vaseline and put socks on over it before you go to bed. Unlike most lotions it doesn't have alcohol in it and so won't burn the cracks.

It will feel gross, but it will help.
you need to keep shoes on especially don't roam around on the wet grass in the morning

the chemist sells a very good foot balm

but dry feet seems to be the trick

my feet will crack if i go down stairs in the wet dew with no shoes on
Please do not use anything with mineral oil in it. It drys out your skin people think it softens it and it does not.

Mineral oil hardens (take a saltine cracker and place a 1/4 cup of baby oil in a clear dish) take another cracker and put in 1/4 cup of water. The oil cracker is hard!!!

Find a foot cream (I love Arbonne) but it isn't cheap.

Apply the cream after a shower, and at night. You should place socks on - do you have a stone? You can purchase one at a drug store and use it in the shower to remove some dead skin (near but not on the cracks).

Feel better -
My father and grandmother have the same problem, and see a podiatrist to treat the condition. The podiatrist gives them a medical pedicure to remove the build up of dead skin and also prescribes them cream. Check with your insurance to find out podiatrists in your area or maybe treat yourself to pedicures at a nail spa twice a month to maintain them. Hope this helps!
I try to oil my feet every day with baby oil and also use a bit of petroleum jelly. Another thing I have used in the past that might help is some baby lotion.

Check with your dr for additional ideas.
I had that problem as a kid. I can still remember my feet hurting and gettin big crevices in them. The doctor told me to keep my feet as dry as possible.

Change your socks at least once a day (more if you like) and use plenty of baby powder of foot powder on your feet.

You should notice a change immediately.
Since u have had this problem for ';ages'; it wont go away in a day!

U have to take several measures:

1. After a bath, when u wash ur feet thoroughly, pat dry skin.

3:apply lotion all over the body, it'll help in hydrating of skin, particularly the feet and hands.

Apply moisturizer generously or vasline would do too.Oil is an other option.

4.cover ur feet with socks even at home. U dont have to wear shoes at home. Just wear light cotton socks.

5. clean ur feet with loofah and file ur nails and keep them clean and clipped.file the rough parts but ';always'; moisturize, generously.
