- Identify the correct ERP product for the respective business
- Choose the correct implementation partner (who is competent and has a good reputation)
- Choose the appropriate modules to implement (dont overdo or underdo)
- Form a good core team who can work dedicatedly for the project - along with a competent project manager who can handle all issues
- Set proper timelines
- Get a complete buy in from all stake holders, especially heads of departments
- Devise a plan to keep the core team productive in a different role post implementation period
- Invest in proper hardware / network for speed
- Devise a proper strategy for implementation (single unit, all units)
