Can anyone who is a good dancer give me advice?

OK ive been in this dance class for a few months. Im in the begginner class right now and I really want to make it to the advance class buy january of next year. As of right now the dance class is on a break. I want to improve my dancing by myself so that when i get back ill be really good. Can any one give me tips on what i should do to improve?Would feestyling in my room help at all? Any book i could read that might help? Can anyone who is a good dancer give me advice?
Well you could practice in your room and just try to really feel the music so that you can get into it. but as for actually training, that takes a lot of comitment and effort. It also depends what kind of dance you are learning. With hip hop you can at least free style and have fun on youtube. But with latin or ballroom dances, it takes a teacher, not a book. You got to get out there and feel it, not read it.

Ive been dancing for 11 years (since i was 6) But that was only because my family is Cuban and most of them are pros in latin dancing. You should try to get some of your friends together and dance with each other to practice with them and improve your skills while having a blast. Have fun.Can anyone who is a good dancer give me advice?
hon to be really good it takes years unless ur the most talented human being on the planet.

just try to improve ur danceing and set the bar lower like maybe intermediate by january and take more classes to improve. while its break just stretch and try to perfect what you've learned in class
you should go on youtube and look at ''how to routines'' and try those. you could also go to a different dance studio and take classes there until you classes get off break. it will give you experience with other teachers and you will continue dancing.
if you go to see the advanced try to learn the moves they do and try to exaggerate the dance put more energy
make up dances according to the level you are and memorize it then when you go back its like oh this is easy thanks lola.
